Iskandar Waterfront Holdings (IWH) was borne of a collective ability to see what is and what could be.
As the Master Developer of the Flagship ‘A’ Zone of Iskandar Malaysia, IWH is entrusted with transforming the southern region of Johor Bahru into a vibrant waterfront destination, a strong and sustainable metropolis of international standing. Stretching along a 25km scenic waterfront facing the Straits of Johor, comprising 4,300 acres, this land bank will feature iconic buildings, commercial and financial mix development centre, shopping malls and tourist attractions.
Public amenities will include parks, marina, museum and recreation centres boosted by modern infrastructure and excellent road, air and sea connectivity with direct access to Singapore via the Causeway and the Second Link. This massive development will unfold in phases over a 25-year period, setting the precedent for the single largest integrated waterfront city development project in the country.
IWH is the brainchild in the development of Danga Bay – one of the first public-private developments initiated by the former Johor Chief Minister, Dato’ Haji Abdul Ghani Bin Othman (now Tan Sri). An ingenious initiative, Danga Bay has the full backing of both the Federal and State Governments.
