ISKANDAR MALAYSIA FLAGSHIP A
The Group – A Public Private Partnership
Iskandar Waterfront Holdings (IWH) is fashioned after the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model involving the Malaysian Federal Government, Johor State Government and Private equity partnership.
The main shareholders of IWH are Credence Resources Sdn Bhd (private equity) and Kumpulan Prasarana Rakyat Johor Sdn Bhd (Johor State Government equity).
The Federal Government is also a strategic partner through a IWH subsidiary - Iskandar Waterfront Sdn Bhd - in which Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Employees Provident Fund (EPF) are also shareholders through Iskandar Investment Berhad
IWH is the Master Developer of some 4,000 acres of prime waterfront land within Flagship ‘A’ of Iskandar Malaysia, which it plans to develop into the proposed new Iskandar Waterfront City.
Stretching along a 25km scenic waterfront facing the Straits of Johor, this land bank in Johor Bahru will feature iconic buildings, shopping malls and tourist attractions when ready.
Public amenities will include parks, marina, museum and recreation centres boosted by modern infrastructure and excellent road, air and sea connectivity with direct access to Singapore via the Causeway.
This massive development will unfold in phases over a 25-year period, setting the precedent for the single largest integrated urban development project in the country.
